2023 EVELYN’S PINOT NOIR
The Evelyn's bottling is the top cuvée from one of the Willamette Valley’s most respected producers, Brick House and winemaker Doug Tunnel. It is a barrel selection made only in the best years from two of the Biodynamic estate’s top blocks. A nearly 50/50 blend of Dijon- and Pommard-cloned Pinot Noir, it was made with 60% whole-cluster and nearly 50% new French oak, which is on the high side for the Brick House style. The compact growing resulted in a Pinot Noir of elegance, with ample structure and aromas of sous bois, wild bramble fruits and freshly crushed strawberries. The palate melds well-knit tannins with sweet Oregon blackberries, a pop of pomegranate and sweet, smoky exotic spices. The Brick House wines are certainly made to age, and this one is no exception.
